Leslie Jo Penner Davis is our elementary principal at Seymour R2 School District.

Mrs. Davis is the youngest of six children. She graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1993. After high school, she attended The University of Missouri in Columbia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education with Magna Cum Laude honors. After graduation, she was hired by Seymour Schools where she has been an elementary teacher for nineteen years. Mrs. Davis received her Master in Administration from William Woods University in 2005. This year will mark her first year as our principal and her twentieth year with our district.

Mrs. Davis spends her time outside of school with her large, loving family and crazy, fluffy dog. She is a member of Mountain Grove First Baptist Church.

Principal Davis is thankful for the families she has worked with and children she has taught in Seymour. She counts it as one of her biggest blessings in life that she can be a part of this community. She would like to thank this town for welcoming her in and treating her like part of their family.
