Mrs. Vicky Denney graduated from Seymour High School in 1974, then Vicky Heckendorn, and married Bruce Denney in 1976. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with lifetime certificates in K-8 teaching and k-12 library sciences.
She began her teaching career in 1979 at Norwood, Missouri teaching 6th grade. She accompanied her husband on a twenty-year, Air Force Career and taught in England at a department of defense school as well as the Hawaiian Public School System. Vicky and her husband retired from the military in 1996 and she spent the next ten years teaching kindergarten and 4th grade at Mansfield, Missouri. In 2006 she began teaching elementary classes at Seymour, Missouri. Her teaching experience spans twenty years of teaching in every grade kindergarten through sixth grade.
During her years as a teacher, she attended night school and earned a Master’s in Education Degree in Elementary Administration from William Woods University in 2003.
Mrs. Denney became the Elementary Principal at the Seymour School District in November 2014. Vicky and her husband, who is the Seymour School District Superintendent, have been married for thirty-nine years and have two sons: Ryan and Shawn. They also have three granddaughters and one grandson.
