Lessli PruettMrs. Pruett has lived in Seymour her entire life, graduating from Seymour High School in
1986. She attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, graduating in
1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with emphasis in Learning
Upon graduation from college, Mrs. Pruett accepted her first position at Seymour
School District in the fall of 1991 teaching elementary special education. After teaching in this position for three years, she moved to the position of teaching preschool and early childhood special education. This position captivated her attention and love for working with children and parents for 16 years, where she taught preschool and early childhood special education, along with becoming the early childhood director for the preschool in the district. During these years, she attended Southwest Missouri State University, receiving her Master of Science in Elementary Education degree in 2002. Along with teaching preschool, she became the special education process coordinator for the district. She received her Master’s degree in educational administration in 2008, along with certification requirements for principal, which led her to her current position of Special Services Director and preschool director since the fall of 2010.

Through her 26 years in the school system, Mrs. Pruett has served on various school and community organizations, along with being very involved with her church.

Mrs. Pruett has been married to her husband Paul for almost 27 years. They have one daughter, Kaylee, who attends college in Springfield, her husband, Grant; a son, Shane, who just graduated from Seymour High School, and a 3-year old grandson, Brighton.
